About converting RTF to TXT
RTF and TXT solve different problems, which is why this conversion is so common. Our converter reads the structure of your RTF file and rebuilds it as a valid TXT file rather than simply renaming it, so the result opens cleanly in the apps you already use.
RTF is a simple rich-text format that most word processors can open. TXT is plain text with no formatting.
The converter sits in our document converters toolkit alongside PDF, DOCX, DOC, XLSX, XLS, PPTX, PPT, TXT, RTF, ODT, ODS, ODP, CSV, HTML and more. Nothing is installed, nothing is stored, and the output carries no watermark.
